Alyssa joins the Strauss team as an Administrative Assistant, working mainly with its client, the Canadian Kinesiology Alliance (CKA). She also supports the Occupational and Environmental Medical Association of Canada (OEMAC) and the Canadian Jewellery Group (CJG). She prides herself on her organizational and project management skills and loves the challenge of managing projects with many moving parts. In her client work at Strauss, she continually strives to improve organization and processes.

Since graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science, Alyssa has used the soft skills developed in her degree to work in administrative coordination positions in a variety of non-profits. She has supported organizations such as the Exchange District BIZ, Assiniboine Park Conservancy, FortWhyte Alive, and Tech Manitoba. Throughout her career, Alyssa has learned non-profits require flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to help wherever needed. Because of her willingness to step up and learn, Alyssa has experience in volunteer management, event support, executive coordination, administration, and communications and marketing.

Outside of Strauss, Alyssa continues to use her administrative skills by volunteering on the executive of her nerdy community choir, Incantatem Singers. She is also an emerging writer and recently published her debut, this is a love story: poems and essays on friendship, love, and mental health.
