Rotary Career Symposium

The Challenge:

Since 1998, Strauss has managed this initiative, which brings together Manitobaís future workforce with the provinces industry and education leaders to explore opportunities in Manitoba.

Our Solution:

Strauss worked closely with the Rotary board, committee chairs, volunteer members, sponsors, guidance counselors, business organizations and Aboriginal groups to clearly define objectives and ensure we had all the necessary input required to bring the best, most appropriate speakers and exhibitors to the Symposium.

This annual event has grown to international prominence with students attending from across Canada and exhibitors hailing from the United States. Exhibitor participation has increased 90% since the beginning of our involvement. In 2003, 16,000 attendees had the opportunity to visit 173 exhibitors and attend 130 speaker sessions.

Strauss planned and managed the entire event including:

Comprehensive planning, budgeting, staffing and financial management,
Negotiating facilities, sponsorship, partner and official supplier arrangements,
Arrangement of speakers, exhibitors, programs, entertainment, food and beverage requirements and social activities,
Marketing, publicity and promotion,
Event set up, layout and decoration.
